IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PLEASE ADVISE THE INJURY IMAGING SOLUTION'S STAFF IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY TO YOU:

  • You have a brain aneurysm clip.
  • You suspect or know that you are pregnant or nursing.
  • You have had a recent surgery (within 6 weeks) with surgical clips/pins/plates in the skin or inside the body.
  • You have ANY implanted devices of any kind that have a magnet or battery.
  • You have EVER had an incident where a metal fragment entered your eye? Was the metal taken out?

IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO YOU, YOU MAY NOT HAVE A MRI EXAM:

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT SCHEDULING?

All exams are provided by appointment. IIS understands the importance of receiving medical diagnostic care as quickly as possible. We encourage you to give us a call at 844-867-3752 to learn more about our flexible scheduling options.

WHAT IF I HAVE HAD THE SAME BODY PART SCANNED BEFORE?

If you have had previous images taken of the body part you are having scanned, please inform our staff. We can compare your past imaging to your new scan or request these reports from the facility your previous scans were taken at.

HOW DO I GET THE RESULTS OF MY TEST?

Your images will become available within 24-hours of you exam. All imaging and reports will be sent to your referring physician.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY UPCOMING VISIT?

  • If you are anxious before your examination, be sure to cut back on caffeine prior to the test. Ask a family member or friend to accompany you, and if you have severe anxiety, call and ask your physician if they can prescribe you a sedative.

  • You may choose from the selection of music available on Pandora to listen to during the exam (Mesa location).

  • In most cases, there are no restrictions on what you may or may not eat or drink prior to the exam, and you should take your regular medications as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing without any metal embellishments or buttons. We can also provide a paper gown for you to wear during the exam.

  • All jewelry, watches, and body piercings must be removed prior to the exam.

  • Please plan to be at our facility for approximately 90 minutes to allow for the exam, paperwork, and waiting for your images to be produced.

  • Please bring all insurance information, including your insurance card. You may also be responsible for a deductible or co-payment, so be sure to check with your insurance provider.
